"The Beatles Come Together Using AI For ‘Last Record,’ Paul McCartney Says: The record features AI-assisted vocals from the late Beatle John Lennon" - WSJ - SCW Newswatch

The Wall Street Journal reports on revelations by Paul McCartney that the Beatles will be releasing "the last Beatles record" using artificial intelligence to dub in John Lennon's voice from an old demo tape.

“... 'We just finished it up and it’ll be released this year,' McCartney said in ... [a BBC] interview ... Tuesday. McCartney said Hollywood director Peter Jackson, who directed the 2021 documentary epic 'The Beatles: Get Back,' used AI technology to isolate the voice of John Lennon from an old demo tape. 'He was able to extricate John’s voice from a ropy little bit of cassette where it had John’s voice and a piano' .... 'We were able to take John’s voice and make it pure through AI and you were able to mix the record as you would normally do.'”

The BBC has speculated that the song might be a Lennon composition called "Now and Then" from 1978, yet McCartney has not yet announced the name of the composition.
